Meet Dr. Sara Nelson
A Passion for Helping Others
The desire to help people is an innate part of Dr. Sara Nelson’s personality, and a career in health care seemed to fit well with that desire. She wasn’t sure what direction to take, however. Eventually, she toured Palmer College of Chiropractic, and it was there that she learned that chiropractic is not just about moving bones—it’s about freeing the nervous system from interference and allowing the body to heal itself.
Dr. Sara resonated with this philosophy and knew she had found her calling. She enrolled at Palmer and received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2008. She received an additional year and a half of training in Orthospinology Upper Cervical Care, and also became certified in the Webster Technique.
Becoming Part of the Community
After graduating, Dr. Sara practiced as an associate for a few years. She moved to Verona in 2012 and has been at Madison Chiropractic ever since. She loves being part of a community that values health and staying active, and she’s dedicated to helping people maintain their active lifestyle for as long as they live.
Dr. Sara is passionate about helping people understand that the body can heal and regulate itself when interference is removed from the nervous system. When people experience the natural, non-invasive way chiropractic care helps them achieve health, they understand that health care can be more about wellness than sickness.
Teaching people to be proactive in creating health, rather than reactive to illness, gives Dr. Sara great joy. She loves when patients become empowered to take control of their own health.
